Ganagapura

Ganagapura is a temple town, near Gulbarga in Karnataka. God Dattatreya is said to have attained realization lies on the banks of River Bhima, in this town. Sri Kshetra Gangapur, One of the most famous Dattatreya Peethas, is associated with Sri Narasimha Saraswati Swami, an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. This Nirguna Math here is adorned with the Nirguna Padukas. The water of the rivers Bhima and Amaraja, especially at the spot of their confluence, are considered extremely holy which is called as Sangama (which means Union).
