Bankapura Nageshwar Temple

Nageshwar temple is located around 22 km from Haveri town in Bankapura of Shimoga taluk. Nageshwar temple located around 45 km from Hubli - Dharward. The Bankapura fort contains the Ranganatha Nagareshwara temple along with a beautiful mosque which was perhaps built with the same material of the fort after destroyed by invasion of Adil Shah in 1567.
