Yulu Cycles Miracle Fare Rental

Yulu Bengaluru based bike-sharing solution platform, launched its electric scooter Yulu Miracle (Micro Mobility Vehicle - MMV) on Wednesday 13 Feb, 2019 at MG Road Metro Station.

Yulu Miracle is a dock-less, lithium-powered scooter focusing on first- and last-mile connectivity—cover distances up to 5 km. It has a battery-swapping model that can forecast the demand and use of the vehicle using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Each scooter sends its battery charge percent to Yulu servers at regular intervals using internet of things hardware.





Yulu Zone Parking

Customers need to download the Yulu application and scan the QR code to access a scooter. The in-app map then shows different Yulu Zones; they can access/park the scooter there and also lock and unlock the vehicle using the application. For payments, Yulu supports Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe, UPI and credit and debit cards. Users have to pay a mandatory Rs 10 for a Yulu Miracle ride and another Rs 10 per 10 minutes of ride time. Pause charge for 10 minutes is Rs. 5. Security Deposit is Rs. 500. Licenses and helmets aren't required. The app requires users to maintain a balance in a mobile wallet and deducts a security deposit.

How to START PAUSE END Yulu Ride

To find a Yulu Zone near you, simply open the Yulu app. You’ll automatically be taken to the map screen, showing all available Yulu MMVs in your area. If you don’t see any vehicle icons displayed on the map, zoom out to search a wider area.

To PAUSE A RIDE, simply hit Pause on the app and select the time till which you want to Pause, finish your work and hit Resume to start riding again. Under Pause, the vehicle is reserved for you and nobody else is allowed to use it.Maximum Pause charges of Rs.30 for Move and Rs.90 for Miracle between 6:00pm to 10:00am. During this time, the user is responsible for the safety of the bike. Check if there is a Yulu ZONE close to your destination before you start your trip under Yulu KEEP. Yulu ZONES are visible on the map in the Yulu app.

To END A RIDE, Check for the nearest Yulu Zone Yulu on the app. Park your vehicle at the Yulu Zone and manually lock the vehicle. Click on the End Button in your app to successfully end your ride.

Amit Gupta, earlier Co-founder of InMobi, a mobile marketing platform provider, launched Yulu with RK Misra, Naveen Dachuri and Hemant Gupta in 2017, as to promote Public Bike Sharing Initiative(PBS) in India. Yulu has been providing smart bicycles on sharing basis to their customers in many cities, with a focus on high-density areas – outside Metro stations, suburban railway stations, large tech office campuses, apartment complexes, shopping malls, bus stops, colleges and more. The startup, which is operational in Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and Bhubaneswar, launched its sharing bicycles last year in January, to focus on an IoT solution and address the traffic problem in cities.

Yulu plans to deploy 250 electric scooters in Bengaluru's Indiranagar and the CBD area this week. The startup will keep adding 250 to 500 additional vehicles every week for the next eight to 10 weeks, covering all its current six operational clusters. In the next two to three months, Yulu expects to cover the entire city. The startup currently has over 850 Yulu zones or parking areas across Outer Ring Road, Whitefield, HSR, Koramangala, Indira Nagar, CBD and Electronic city, which it will use to park Yulu Miracles as well. All the charging, repair and maintenance will be done by the company and commuters will have to simply pick and drop it at Yulu zones that will be set up around metro stations, malls, apartment complexes and railway stations.

Yulu Move Cycle

Yulu charges INR 10 for the first 30 minutes. And for every subsequent 30 minutes, it's INR 5 extra. Security Deposit required for using Yulu Move is Rs. 100.





Uber has tied up with electric cycle sharing app Yulu to offer bicycle rentals to its customers. In its current form, the Uber app redirects a customer to register on Yulu, instead of directly offering to book the service from the app.

You may check your account balance in your profile at any time. The balance in your wallet can only be used to pay for your ride. The balance has no expiration date, is non-refundable and non-transferable.

You can request a refund of Security Deposit using the app. On the app, click on the Wallet Balance card to open Top-Up screen. On the Top-Up screen, click on 'Refund' to initiate the refund process. It takes 7-14 working days for the refund process.

Yulu Bikes in Ahmedabad

Smart City Ahmedabad Development Ltd. (SCADL) has under the national urban transport policy 2006 given approval to the public bicycle system in the city for cost-effective and environment friendly last mile connectivity, December, 2019. Yulu launch its Services, from 07 March 2020 in Ahmedabad. Yulu has already established a presence in Delhi, Pune, Bombay and Bhubaneshwar.

SCADL has entered in to agreement with MyByk for making available 1000 bi-cycles for the same in 3 months and with Yulu for providing 500 electric scooters in six months time. A total of over 200 bike stations across the state including those near BRTS stations, markets, offices, schools-colleges, residential areas and gardens etc would be created for the same. From these stations one can take these geared and non geared bicycles and electric scooters at rent. The facility for charging the electric scooters would also be available there. This initiative will also help ease up the traffic jams and also the air pollution in the city, a press release of the SCADL issued today said.

Bajaj Auto pumps in $8 million into Yulu

As on 26th Nov 2019 Bajaj Auto, the world’s third-largest motorcycle company, has invested $8 million (about Rs 57 crore) in bicycle and electric scooter rental startup Yulu. As a part of the deal, Bajaj is also going to manufacture customised electric scooters for the Bengaluru based startup. The Rajiv Bajaj-led company, which has a market capitalisation of Rs 92,615 crore, will also consider facilitating the vehicle finance needs of Yulu, through its financial services arm Bajaj Finserv.

Yulu plans to increase its fleet size to 100,000 electric two-wheelers by December 2020. It currently has a fleet of 15,000 vehicles. The Bengaluru-based company claims to do between 30,000 - 35,000 rides a day, of which 12,000 - 13,000 comes from its electric scooters.

Yulu bikes in Mumbai BKC

Travellers can use the Yulu app to access and use the e-bikes within Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) from 31 August. Neither a driving license nor a helmet are required to drive the non-motorised bike. BKC will have nine zones (including near the Bandra and Kurla railway stations) offering around 100 bikes. The MMRDA and Yulu signed an agreement in January 2020 for 500 e-bikes in 25 locations in BKC and the railways stations at Bandra (E) and Kurla, with for a 24/7 facility that would charge Rs10 to unlock the bike and Rs10 per minute of the ride. The pandemic delayed the launch by a few months.
